Loving these galaxy print leggings, they finally arrived!! I must admit I did have a few moments where I felt like a super hero, as I wore these leggings with a silver metallic blouse. I’m wearing a thrifted fur jacket here, with my Vivienne Westwood oversized bag and Litas.

Metal-toes
After seeing the Shakuhachi gold tip and gold heel boots, I was determined to get my hands on a similar pair. I saw some similar pairs on TOPSHOP but the overall style didn’t appeal to me enough to convince me to buy them. I found these shiny metal tip boots in a boutique a couple of weeks ago. They don’t stand out as much as the gold tips I originally wanted, but I guess these are rather demure and does add a subtle, yet edgy touch to any outfit.

Belt it up
(Belt lulucherie)
I have several vintage-esque satin scarves and haven’t used them as much as I would like to. The elaborate prints and rich colours really draws all the attention in an outfit. Initially, I wore them as headbands and semi-headband/turbans. But as the hippy-boho trend is starting to die down, I tried to re-invent some other ways to wear these flamboyant scarves.
Here I am just wearing a black sleeveless top, with a sparkly silver skirt and maroon red sheer draped jacket. The separate pieces of the outfit is by far not one of my most interesting pieces from my wardrobe, and apart from the skirt which is very sparkly, shiny and fun to wear, the rest is not really worth mentioning.
To jazz the outfit up, I wore one of my scarves as a belt, or more accurately, as part of my belt. The vividly bold print and colours are still showing through, and it adds a quirk to the vintage-esque belt. And I would just like to share this little trick with you guys. Enjoy.

Golden Skans
Fur, leather, spikes, metallics and glitter.. These are the things I tend to look for in clothing or random items that tickle my fancy, and here I’m wearing all these in one outfit. The gold dress sure is eye-catching when it glimmers under the sun, but I guess the biker-rocker-esque jacket somewhat tones the whole look of the outfit. And I just think that my spiked platforms just adds that finishing touch to the look.
I’ve seen the “hardware shop” ring trend on several blogs and thought it’s rather clever and cheap, yet unique. I picked up one at a local hardware shop. To my disappointment, the piece isn’t as shiny as I’d imagined. And more to say it’s rather uncomfortable wearing it for long hours as a ring, so I guess it’s goodbye to this trend for me. Have you guys tried this out?

Metal tips and ends
(TOPSHOP tassel cardigan jacket, floral sheer blouse, tassel fringe belt, ponyskin leopard box bag, gold claw bangle; all from www.lulucherie.com)
As you can see, I am pretty obsessed with tassels and fringes. it really dresses up an outfit and makes it more edgier and quirkier, which is something I aim for when I select my outfit for the day.
Blouse and belt is coming soon on http://www.lulucherie.com.
I didn’t quite get a good close-up shot of the gold claw bracelet I’m wearing, so here’s a quick iphone/instagram shot. They are limited in stock right now. Which colour do you guys prefer?

Louis Vuitton collaborates with Yayoi Kusama
Louis Vuitton’s creative director Marc Jacobs is going to collaborate with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama; following the footsteps of Takashi Murakami and Stephen Sprouse.
The 82 year-old Kusama is best known for her obsession for polka dots, which will be appearing on a broad range of products, including leather goods, ready-to-wear, accessories, jewelry, shoes and watches.
I love it when artists collaborate with designers or fashion. It’s always fun and exciting to see what each individual artists taste and their take on “art” is about. I personally loved the Louis Vuitton collaboration with Murakami back in 2002. Kusama’s work is very fun, vibrant and kooky, I can’t help but be more and more intrigued by her work. Being an avid fan of polka dots, I simply can’t wait for this new collaboration.
This collaboration is expected to debut at Louis Vuitton stores in early July, along with special window installations.

Tassles and Snakeskin
(TOPSHOP tassle cardigan jacket, Monki orange top, vintage snakeskin maxi skirt, Vivienne Westwood bag)
Definitely one of my most used heavier-duty bags, and by that I am referring to the size and the function of the bag. I picked it up at Liberty London. The “price per use” is without a doubt well worth it. Initially it was just a casual bag I’d use every now and then, as I was doubting about the size. But to be frank (and possibly like many other girls) I actually throw in a lot of unnecessary things in this all-rounder carrier. I’ve shopped with it, brunched with it, flown with it, the list seems endless. I guess the size of it dresses down any outfit, hence my near abuse of the bag. Yes, after x-times of using it, the handles are starting to show some wear, but this baby is still going good and will remain a staple of mine through this year.
