Gareth Pugh for MAC

Being a fan of Gareth Pugh’s work, I was anticipating for his collection for MAC.

I  love the fierce looking eyes/lashes and the dark purple-black lip shade on the model. I’m still trying to find my perfect lip shade for Winter.

What do you guys think of the collection?

DIY: Newspaper Nails

(…during the process of DIY newspaper nails – (without the top coat)- )

Been eager to try this out after seeing it on the Topshop blog. It’s ever so easy to do and looks great! My friends were pretty amazed that it wasn’t some kind of nail sticker.

To do this, you will need:

- Nail polish in a light shade (preferably in white)

- Clear Nail polish

- Rubbing alcohol (I’ve read that vodka works aswell, but I haven’t tried that personally)

- Small pieces of newspaper

- Small dish to pour some alcohol into

 

And just follow these steps..

1. Apply the base coat, and allow to dry.

2. Pour a little bit of rubbing alcohol in a pot or dish, and soak a small piece of newspaper in the alcohol.

3. Press the piece of newspaper on top of a nail, and gently press to allow the transfer of the print.

4. Peel back slowly.

5. Repeat this for each nail.

6. Apply a clear top coat.

Mismatched

Have you ever worn mismatched shoes before? I found these somewhat creeper-like platforms, but not as gothic/grunge. They were perfect for me to wear with some socks and a sheer net maxi. So I ended up buying a pair in each colour.. (yes, now I have the remaining pair lying around now… not quite sure what I’m going to do with them!)

Anyways, I think it looks a hell lot more interesting wearing the studded platforms mismatched. Opinions?

SIX shoes collaborates with 6 bloggers including Style Bubble, Man Repeller, Style Salvage, Facehunter, Cherry Blossom Girl and Caroline’s Mode.

My personal favourite is definitely Susie’s (Style Bubble) lilac pony fur 70s/90s inspired platform boots. I love the colours and the shape.

These will be launched on November 22nd.

Visionaire 61 : Lagy Gaga

Lady Gaga graces the cover of Visionaire. The combination of mermaid vs. Lady Gaga seems so perfect for me, as I’m a sucker for mermaids and any mythical creatures. Ever since my childhood days, I’ve been watching and re-watching Disney classics like The Little Mermaid, and later on to an older take of the classic story in Splash (starring Tom Hanks).

Gaga is drenched in oil as the thick sludge is smeared over her bare chest to waist. I love the contrasting colour in her hair and the minimal make-up to dramatize the whole look. I’m left staring at these images in awe.
